: GDCR 2019 Berlin at Volkswagen Digital:Lab and Hexad GmbH
Overview
Coderetreat is a day-long, intensive practice event, focusing on the fundamentals of software development and design. By providing developers the opportunity to take part in focused practice, away from the pressures of 'getting things done', the coderetreat format has proven itself to be a highly effective means of skill improvement. Practicing the basic principles of modular and object-oriented design, developers can improve their ability to write code that minimizes the cost of change over time.
The first Coderetreat took place in 2009, so the concept is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The “Global Day of Coderetreat” has been taking place once a year on the same day worldwide since 2011. In many cities enthusiastic software developers meet to learn from each other on this day with a lot of fun.
The Berlin event will take place this year jointly hosted by Volkswagen Digital:Lab and Hexad GmbH with training and organizing assistance from Nelkinda Software Craft.
